The seed for baby&taylor was sewn long before the inception of the brand itself. Set in the town of Troyes, the birthplace of France’s knitwear industry, Marcel Vitoux, would pioneer the Stocking Remesh Machine–one of the first mechanical knitting machines, ever to be invented. This newly invented technology allowed Marcel, and his family to drastically grow their services, and eventually, Vitos began selling and manufacturing women’s intimates and fashions across all corners of the globe.

It was the vision of Marie-Sophie Provot-Ragueneau, the Grand-Daughter of Marcel Vitoux to clad young French children in the fashions of contemporary Paris. And it is with the passion of the generations before her, that Marie-Sophie would begin a journey into children’s wear with the inception of Baby Taylor.

Baby Taylor was soon dressing contemporary French children with hints of tradition, and touches of a modern Parisian look. And from Paris, New York to Tokyo, Baby Taylor soon became a luxurious house-hold name for children’s ready to wear.

Valerie Toyomura and husband Julien are reawakening Marie-Sophie’s vision. Injecting an ounce of modernity to the name, now baby&taylor continues to dress our little ones in spotless, well tailored silhouettes that are peppered with flavours of Paris.
